Chapter 2 of Photoshop

This is Chapter 2 of learning to do photoshop. For this image i had to make the shadows and highlights match the other. I also had to get rid of dinginess in the flowers and the statue. One of the tulips at the bottom of the page were yellow so i had to make it red to match the other image.

Beginning Photoshop

All of these pictures are from chapter 1. For the coin picture, i had to darken the background around the coin and make the coin lighter. For the “Pitch In” picture, i had to add text on the sand and match the colors. For the guy in the tie i had to use a certain size brush to and dots to his tie.

Vector vs. raster

Raster-A two-dimensional array of black and white cells, called pixels or picture elements, which when displayed on a screen or paper, form an image or representation of an original document.

Vector-a straight line segment whose length is magnitude and whose orientation in space is direction

Bitmap-an image represented as a two dimensional array of brightness values for pixels

Anti-aliasing-anti-aliasing is a process that smoothes edges during the scanning capture process so that there is a more gradual pixel change than that which is being captured.

Portable Document Format(PDF)- used to transfer files over the Internet using the Adobe Acrobat software

artificial intelligence(AI)- the branch of computer science that deal with writing computer programs that can solve problems creatively

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)- is an XML specification and file format for describing two-dimensional vector graphics

Adobe Illustrator- a vector-based drawing program developed and marketed by Adobe Systems.

Adobe Photoshop-is a graphics editing program developed and published by Adobe Systems.

“Save Link As”- allows you to save the image where ever you want it to be.

Break Story

over the break i did a lot.  i visited san Angelo where my Tia mary lives.  for Christmas i got a chargers blanket.  i also got  guitar hero world tour and  new Houston  throwback astros fitted hats.  i also golfed a lot during the break so i had a lot of fun .

20 Statements

1. files can be any name you choose but without punctuation.
2. every file needs a dot (.) followed by the type of file it is (extension like doc).
3. most files can be up to 256 characters long.
4. files names can only consist of numbers and letters.
5. the file extensions tell the computer how to open the file.

what is a computer virus? A program that can copy itself and infect a computer without permission or knowledge of the user.

why cant they do so much damage and cost people so much money? in no other year have computer viruses and worms wreaked so much havoc and caused so much damage as in this past year, according to security analysts.

Monday

• The strangest theme park in Europe is some walk around 1984. people get to walk around the Soviet bunker. It is a very expensive walk. They are escorted around and are required to wear gas masks. I don’t see why you would want to pay so much for something so boring but it seems like a pointless trip to take for me.
• This theme park wont lead to nothing great in the future. It is a time waisting experience. Also not worth the amount of money they ask for. It all seems pointless to me.

Tuesday

• The Chevy Volt is being modified by adding in a small screen. It is a LCD screen at the top of the cars center stack and is integrated into the dash. The design team has also added “pill-shaped targets” that offer a tactile feel for the flat-surface buttons, which also make an auditory sound when activated. The screen before moved, but they made it to where it didn’t move.
• The screen uses navigational systems. It also can tell u how your car is doing. It shows a picture of your car and it will kind of inspect it and find if anything is wrong with it. This is very helpful and will help people in the future so you can stay safe in your car and get it fixed before your problem becomes a major incident and make u unsafe.

Wednsday

• This fruit that i have never heard of is a pineapple guava. It is green looking and looks like a lime but it taste wonderful. It should b amazing to see what all this fuss is about. It has a perfumey scent and a tart, firm, gritty flesh, and a sweet custardy center. This fruit is known as the Feijoas.
• This fruit will be great market product. i haven’t seen this fruit in stores but if it were to be sold i think it would sell very good. I’m pretty sure it taste good. I would love to try it and I’m pretty sure everybody else would love it too.

Thursday

• The Biofueled skycar is a car that is planned to fly and drive. It is kind of small too. It is part parachute, part fan-powered swamp boat, and part X-Bow. It is convertible too so it can be protected by rain and can give you a cool breeze when its sunny. It is planning to fly at least 3700 miles and it can fly up to 100 mph.
• This can help the future because most cars would be like this. Alot of them would be able to fly and drive like this prototype. It can go from 2000-3000 ft high which is a safe height for flying cars. Its also not so high that you cant breathe way up there so you’ll be fine.

Friday

• This Honda is a new future car. It has a 3 part star like figure for a grill. Its windshield is over the whole car. The entire roof is covered with glass. It expands from the front widshield to the back one. This car is completely safe.
• With the car being completely safe, It would be a nice car for a single man. It seems cool but i dont think a family would quite fit in this little 2 door car. Other than that, i think it is a cool car to have.

What has changed?

President Barack Obama has informed all of us that when he goes into office, there will be change. He guarantees to America that change will occur. We believe he can change the economy to make it an easier place to live for us. Now that he is new president, he will do all it takes to keep peace in this country. He pleads that criminals should be taken off of the streets of America in order to keep us safe. Obama and Joe Biden didn’t run this campaign for their selves, they did it for the proud citizens of America.

All i can do now is wait until he goes into office in January. Once he goes in and once he makes his first decision, we need to make sure we obey it. Me, as an individual, will try to work with keeping this economy and environment a good place. Also, we all need to work to stay united as one.
